Wadaba
The Challenge of Water Insecurity
In many underserved communities in Cameroon, access to water is unreliable and poorly managed. Lack of monitoring and data-driven systems results in shortages, inefficiencies, and vulnerability to climate shocks. Without effective water governance, families and farmers struggle to secure this essential resource.
A Data Bank for Water Sustainability
WADABA (Water Data Bank) is a data-driven initiative designed to centralize water information and improve community-based water management. By collecting and analyzing usage data, the platform empowers local communities to monitor resources, optimize distribution, and strengthen resilience against climate-related water challenges.
Impact and Achievements
Since its launch, WADABA has piloted data collection in selected communities, raised awareness on water sustainability, and laid the foundation for digital water governance in Cameroon.
