Following a practical approach to operationalization, the development of the digital component of the Hub will be driven based on a 3-step sequence.
Focuses on reaching Youth and Youth communities and having their good practices and climate solutions shared on an online platform. The best practices will be voted by the users visiting the platform. Best practices will be ranked based on the votes and best ranked practices will be selected for the second phase. Guidelines will be provided to help share a common vision of what a best practice might consist in, including a catalogue of examples of best practices.
Focuses on the elaboration of the e-learning system, where the best practices from Youth projects or organizations will be taught by the Youth themselves, following standardized presentation canvas (partnerships will be leveraged with academia, to help transform best practices into peda- gogically ready training materials). The good practices will be merged with climate change & sustainable development concepts, so that users can understand these concepts through concrete examples and vice versa. The users will be invited to share their thoughts and how they can use what they learned concretely in their community, through digital tools.
Focuses on the addition of several modules to the digital component, including a Green Jobs Database, transforming the African Youth Climate Hub into an essential tool for recruiters to connect with the Youth as well as to identify relevant training and education opportunities. Recrui- ters will be invited to publish their job vacancies with a specific focus on Youth and climate-related sectors of activities. Universities, Vocational Training Institutions and other education focused stakeholders will also be encouraged to share relevant opportunities.
